 Write the similarities and dissimilarities between conduction and displacement current.

Similarities:

⦁ Both conduction current and displacement current involve the flow of electric charge.

⦁ The unit of displacement current is the same as that of conduction current, which is measured in amperes (A).

⦁ Both produce magnetic field.

Dissimilarities:

⦁ Conduction current is due to flow of electron and Displacement current is due to change in electric field.

⦁ In free space Conduction current is zero but Displacement current is finite. (like as parallel plate capacitor)

⦁ Conduction current is Independent of frequency while Displacement Current is depends on the frequency of the changing electric field.
